Cargilfield Talks
Learning through Technology
In our second Cargilfield Talks podcast, our Headmaster, Rob Taylor, discusses children's learning through technology with Pre Prep teacher Jan Harber; Deputy Head and Head of Computer Science, Ross Murdoch and independent child protection consultant, Anne Darling, who has previously visited Cargilfield to give Internet Safety talks to our older children, our parents and our teaching staff.
Cargilfield is the only stand-alone independent prep school in Edinburgh, providing a nurturing and stimulating education for children aged 3 to 13. We are proud of a broad curriculum, leading to Common Entrance and scholarship exams for children at 13 but teaching a wide range of subjects with specialist teachers from 8+. As a family school, we accept a wide range of abilities and personalities, but we believe that our small classes purposely kept at 18, high expectations and enthusiastic teaching allow our children to flourish. The Education Scotland Inspection Report 2023 rated our attainment levels as outstanding and sector-leading across the country.
